Blue Skies Music Festival

July 31st to August 2nd, 2020

Welcome to the official Blue Skies Music Festival website.

For over four decades magic has happened for one weekend a year on a very special piece of Ontario wilderness near Clarendon, Ontario.

Like Brigadoon, Blue Skies Music Festival springs forth on the August long weekend. Then just as quickly disappears for another year.

Blue Skies is one of a very small number of completely volunteer-run festivals. Every facet of the festival's operation is performed by volunteers, from booking the acts to cleaning the loos.

If that isn't magic, what is?

Come experience Blue Skies!

50 Years of Blue Skies

Getting Ready for Blue Skies 50th.

Let the banjos blare and the bagpipes bluster. Blue Skies is going to reach its 50th birthday in just a few years.

Our Golden Anniversary is roaring down the track and it’s time to hop on board. We’re already thinking about ways to celebrate this milestone. Ideas are being tossed around including thoughts about books, thoughts about movies and thoughts about what other thoughts we might think.

We know for sure we’ll be looking for your stories and memories to share. And art-works, and poems, and songs, and photographs. We also need folks who are willing to help get this all underway. Whatever you can bring is exactly what we need.

If you’d like to help in any way, please e-mail us at

New and exciting ideas are also encouraged.

Let’s really whoop up a storm to celebrate our upcoming 50 years of music and community.

As you may have heard, the Blue Skies Music Festival site can accommodate just a fraction of the people who want to camp. To have an opportunity to purchase a weekend camping pass, people get on the Blue Skies Mail List.

In early Spring, ticket request cards are mailed to every household on the Mail List. The completed ones we get back go into the Camping Pass Lottery. The deadline for adding yourself to the 2020 Blue Skies Lottery is March 17th. If your request is pulled in the draw you can purchase a Weekend Camping Pass. We send many “sorry” emails to those whose cards were not pulled in the draw.

Before camping at Blue Skies, we recommend you come on a Day Pass to get the feel for what Blue Skies is all about. Day passes go on sale online and in a few ticket outlets on July 1st and some will be available on site. While here, sign up for the Mail List at the Info Booth. You can also get on the Blue Skies Mail List by emailing your contact information, including your name and postal address to

Once you are on the Blue Skies Mail list, you need to keep your contact information up to date. If you ever want to drop off the Blue Skies Mail List, let us know at
